About Us

We are a growing number of people who care about the loss of skylarks on the Malvern Hills. Some like Ian Wells who launched the campaign have been studying and recording birds and other wildlife on the Malverns for decades. Becoming aware of the decline he has been researching skylarks and their needs since realising we were down to the last lone skylark on the high hills in 2015, discussing the findings and possible action with officers of Malvern Hills Trust (Previously Malvern Hills Conservators). It would take only a modest change to the way that the Malvern Hills are land-managed to make returning larks a real possibility and benefit other species but it will take more of us to add our voice to the call for action to bring this about.
